David Beckham's business empire saw its profits soar last year, with a significant boost following the launch of a Netflix documentary series centred on the football legend and his family. The England and Manchester United star's company, DRJB Holdings Limited – encompassing David Beckham Ventures Limited, Seven Global LLP, and Studio 99 Group – reported a pre-tax profit jump to $36.2m (£28.75m) in 2023, a substantial increase from $16.2m (£12.87m) the previous year.

Beckham, affectionately known as 'golden balls' during his playing career, enjoyed a storied 20-year stint at the top of the game, including spells with Premier League powerhouse Manchester United and La Liga titans Real Madrid, not to mention captaining the England national team. Since hanging up his boots in 2013, Beckham has diversified his portfolio, notably by becoming co-owner of Inter Miami CF and attracting football megastar Lionel Messi to the club, as reported by .

A spokesperson for DRJB described 2023 as a "successful year for the David Beckham Brand", highlighting new partnerships and the release of the acclaimed Netflix documentary. According to the latest accounts filed, the firm has "solidified the new partnership with Authentic Brands Groups to continue growth and development of the David Beckham Brand", which includes fresh endorsements and product lines.

The company's revenue also saw an uptick, with a two per cent increase year-on-year, reaching $91.2m (£72.44m), up from $89.7m (£71.25m) in 2022.

David Beckham Ventures Limited, which encompasses most of µþ±ð³¦°ì³ó²¹³¾â€™s brand partnership and licensing revenues, reported double-digit percentage gains for the financial year, up by 17.9 per cent to $37.5m (£29.79m), from $31.8m (£25.26m) in 2022. In addition, Seven Global LLP, another of his companies that handles the licensing and commercialisation of his brands, reported a profit of $10.9m (2022: $11.9m) on revenue of $14.1m, an increase from $14.6m in 2022.

This company falls outside DB Ventures Limited and includes µþ±ð³¦°ì³ó²¹³¾â€™s deals with Adidas, Tudor, Safilo Eyewear, and Coty. Studio 99 Group, the company that operates its creative and production studio, saw revenue grow to $15.0m.

The firm increased production of premium documentaries, including BECKHAM for Netflix, which secured a spot in the top 10 in all 90 countries where Netflix tracks audience figures. µþ±ð³¦°ì³ó²¹³¾â€™s firms also reported new commercial brand partners and contracts with major companies including Stella Artois, Boss, Shark Ninja and Paramount.

The brand also strengthened its social media presence, attracting 16.4m followers to reach a global following of 163m. The company stated that directors voted and paid underlying ordinary dividends of $28,464,254 in 2023, down from $30,180,394 in 2022.
