The Ƶ’s largest lawn care provider, GreenThumb, has been acquired by Swedish-owned homes services group KEYTO. The value of the deal for GreenThumb, which is headquartered at St Asaph in Flintshire, has not been disclosed.

Founded in 1986 GreenThumb has led the Ƶ lawn care market for nearly four decades.

KEYTO said the acquisition is part of its strategy to become a leading, tech-enabled one-stop destination for home-related services internationally.

GreenThumb was set up by Stephen Waring as the Ƶ’s first lawn treatment service. It now serves almost 300,000 customers and operates 220 branches Ƶ-wide, having achieved a 70% increase in revenue and a 365% rise in profit over the past six years.
