Falmouth Harbour has been named one of Britain's best-performing small ports.
The harbour received the SME Port of the Year accolade at the national British Port Association (BPA) awards for its on-going drive toward sustainability and "all-round excellence".
The awards celebrate the performance, leadership and contributions of British ports to the 海角视频 maritime industry, with winners chosen from the BPA鈥檚 network of 408 ports - which handle 86% of all 海角视频 port traffic.
Falmouth Harbour pipped the Port of Workington and Harwich Haven Authority for the 2025 SME award after demonstrating "excellence in port management including operational efficiency, stakeholder engagement, development and customer relations".
Falmouth Harbour chief executive Miles Carden said: 鈥淚t is an incredibly proud moment to accept on behalf of Falmouth Harbour the British Ports Association鈥檚 SME Port of the Year 2025.

Within the last year Falmouth Harbour celebrated the arrival of its new 拢1.6m state-of-the-art pilot boat Atlantic 鈥 one of the biggest investments by the Trust Port for almost 20 years.
The vessel, like other workboats across the harbour fleet, is powered by renewable fuel Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO).
A 拢50,000 refuelling facility has also been created at the harbour鈥檚 Marine Hub with 50% match-funding from Cornwall Council鈥檚 Growth Hub Grants Programme.
The harbour has worked with partners to secure and deliver international, national and local events, including the Richard Mille Cups and Falmouth Classics, which is one of the largest classic regattas in the 海角视频.
It has also successfully installed a large, protected swimming and water sports area off Gyllyngvase Beach where larger powered vessels are excluded.
Falmouth Harbour operates an area from Black Head to the Dodman including Falmouth Bay, the Carrick Roads and the River Fal. It also provides pilotage services to APCL group for Falmouth Docks and Cornwall Council鈥檚 Cornwall Harbours for the Ports of Penryn and Truro.
