Myenergi co-founder Jordan Brompton has been named Great British Entrepreneur of the Year.
The sales and marketing force behind the suite of eco-tech products manufactured in Grimsby took the top title as the prestigious event marked a decade of recognising top business talent.
The overall winner accolade followed success in the Scale-Up Entrepreneur of the Year category with the Stallingborough-headquartered business recognised as one of the fastest growing enterprises in the 海角视频. Backed by major city names, it has gone from her and chief executive Lee Sutton in a small office in Binbrook to an international team of more than 400, with turnover recently passing £50 million.

A huge new manufacturing facility beside the state-of-the-art HQ is currently emerging, with domestic battery storage solutions just launched alongside innovations that include the flagship Zappi electric vehicle charger.
The former Tollbar School and Grimsby Institute student had worked with Mr Sutton, who she describes as her “best friend and brain” in a previous business 4 Eco Ltd, before the pair launched alone - after a brief dabble for Jordan in premium cycle sales, again from her home town.
She immediately credited last night’s win as a joint endeavour, stating “the award is ours”.
While Lee delivered the range of energy management and control products, Jordan set about building a brand, turning something that could be considered purely functional to fun and aspirational.

A chance meeting on a ferry to a conference also saw her strike up a valuable partnership with electric vehicle evangelist and former Red Dwarf actor Robert Llewellyn, the man behind the Fully Charged YouTube channel. Tie-ups with modern day adventurer and travel writer Charley Boorman and the Extreme E XITE Energy Racing team have furthered that brand, one now booming in Australia and wider Europe as well at home.
It is also the company behind sponsorship of Grimsby Town FC, now back in the English Football League.
Jordan continues a run of success for a strong vein of talent from North East Lincolnshire in the awards, with Shaun Pulfrey, the man behind Tangle Teezer, and wholesale grocery exporter Sean Ramsden previous winners.
Jordan went on to thank her husband and daughter, family and friends and her “epic team”.
She said: “Taking home not one but two accolades at last night’s Great British Entrepreneur Awards still hasn’t quite sunk in! The Scale-up Entrepreneur of the Year category alone received more than 5,000 entries, so even being named as a finalist was a real dream come true. Taking home gold as Great British Entrepreneur of the Year is a true celebration of our extraordinary journey and testament to every single member of the Myenergi team, who have each played an invaluable role in building the business we have today.

The ceremony was held at Grosvenor House in London and saw 1,400 entrepreneurs and colleagues join together to celebrate a collective £2 billion generated in turnover and over 17,000 jobs.

Her win has been widely celebarated on social media. Jordan added: "I was geneuinely blown away by it. The reaction has been incredible, I'm always amazed by the support we get, espeically locally, it really made me feel the love. It is so nice to have the town, such support, behind us."
At the Humber Renewables Awards in June, Jordan was named Renewables Woman of the Year, with Myenergi having won previous accolades.
