Grimsby’s rapidly-expanding smart eco-tech innovator Myenergi is to launch its own training academy.
A first intake will join this coming month, with apprentices welcomed as the company looks to develop the 'team of tomorrow'.
Named just last month as a top 10 growth business in the 海角视频, the firm behind the Zappi EV charger and other green developments has pulled together a dedicated in-house training and development team to support all new recruits at ‘The Academi’ - set within the new-build Stallingborough headquarters.

Jordan Brompton, co-founder and chief marketing officer, said: “Myenergi is growing at an exceptional rate and, following the success of our internship programme, introducing an apprenticeship scheme seemed like the next logical step towards our goal of identifying the talented team members of tomorrow.
“Operating at the heart of the Humber renewables cluster has enabled us to recognise the need for highly skilled and enthusiastic employees. The Academi will provide us with an opportunity to bolster our workforce, as well as support the region in which we operate.
“We’re passionate about the local area, so aiding its development, and that of the renewables sector, is so important to us. We’re excited to get the programme underway and continue investing in our business.”
In six years the business has grown from two to more than 350 employees, with work progressing on a new manufacturing facility beside the HQ. It is currently operating from a repurposed retail unit on Alexandra Retail Park.

The move comes after partnering with Grimsby Town as the English Football League team’s principal sponsor for the next three years, where work with the likes of Northcoders is underway to boost stills in the area. This weekend it is also backing television and radio presenter Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place Festival at Tatton Park, Cheshire - with the “healthier, well-balanced and more sustainable lifestyle fitting perfectly with our mantra,” according to Mrs Brompton.
Apprenticeships and internships are being made available across engineering, finance, HR, facilities, and training and development, with future plans to introduce more opportunities, including in specialist areas.
Mrs Brompton said applicants can expect to develop a wide range of business skills, including technical knowledge, leadership, ethics and management. Plans are also already underway to create a postgraduate scheme for launch next year.
The Academi will also serve the “ever-growing” needs for internal staff development with a training prospectus that will cover renewables, energy, sustainability, and the circular economy, as well as supporting the long-term career opportunities available within the sector. It is designed to “give anyone joining Myenergi the kick-start they need in this new and exciting industry,” Mrs Brompton said.
While Grimsby is the hub,with more than 250 employed in North East Lincolnshire, subsidiaries are now operational in Germany, Ireland, Australia and the Netherlands. The company recently shipped its 300,000th unit, with revenues having increased by 617 per cent since 2019, accelerating past the £50 million turnover mark.
