Family-run residential developer Llanmoor Homes has unveiled plans for an up to 850 new homes scheme in Bridgend.
The 拢250m development, subject to planning, would be delivered over a 10-year period on 90 acres of land on the western edge of the town, between Bryntirion and Laleston.
The Parc Llangewydd development includes plans for a new primary school as well as public open space and a multi-use games area.
Some 20% of the homes would be designated as affordable housing and transferred to a local housing association.
It is expected that 382 homes will be built in the first phase of the development, for which a planning application was submitted to Bridgend County Council this month. If approved work on the first phase of Parc Llangewydd would commence in the autumn of next year.
The site was allocated for development in Bridgend Council鈥檚 local development plan, which was adopted in March, 2024.
Tim Grey, sales director at Llanmoor Homes, said: 鈥淲e are proud to be unveiling plans for this exciting development, which will bring much-needed housing to Bridgend.
鈥淥nce approved, it will be the second largest development we have undertaken, and our largest in Bridgend.
鈥淲e have an excellent working relationship with Bridgend Council stretching back more than 25 years, and we have built many hundreds of quality homes in the local authority area.
鈥淲e have worked closely with the council to design and bring forward this development, and we are very excited to see the plans come to life.鈥
Llanmoor Homes鈥 most recent development in the Bridgend area is Parc Tondu, a development of 405 two, three and four bedroom homes near Tondu.
