A Newcastle businesswoman has been crowned overall winner at a national event celebrating female excellence in business leaders, entrepreneurs and innovators.
Joanna Lewis, managing director at Safecall, took the top overall winner trophy at the National Business Women鈥檚 Awards after winning awards in two other categories, as corporate leader of the year and Northern England business woman of the year.
The annual awards recognise the achievements of women who are shaping the future of 海角视频 enterprise, from start-ups to established industry leaders. Finalists in 22 categories came together for the grand final, held at the Leonardo Royal Tower Bridge, London.
Ms Lewis joined Safecall in 2021 and has since led the company through a period of strategic transformation. The business is a global provider of whistleblowing and incident management solutions which is used by organisations across the world.
It now supports more than five million employees across more than 130 countries with multilingual, confidential reporting tools and investigative expertise. Under Ms Lewis鈥 leadership, Safecall has grown from being a specialist hotline provider into a global compliance partner, supporting over 1,200 organisations.
She said the award wins represent more than personal milestones and celebrate what鈥檚 possible when women lead with integrity, innovation and impact.
