Monty Miracle, the Yorkshire cleaning solutions maker launched by Martin Beaumont in 2015, specialises in patio and outdoor cleaners.

Now co-led with his nephew, Peter Beaumont, the firm鈥檚 early momentum came with long hours, a cramped garage set-up and constant pressure to keep pace with orders.

Peter says: 鈥淏oth Martin and I were getting increasingly sucked into the business; it was becoming very high pressure for us and our small team as we tried to fulfil orders out of a garage.鈥

Discovering the course

Almost immediately after joining, Peter began applying what he had learned. With the insights he gained on digital marketing, he realised their product line was highly visual and started creating video content.

Using the practical business frameworks taught on the course, Peter identified new ways to market and reach consumer audiences.

Organisational design also became a priority. Social media activity had exploded, taking up much of Peter鈥檚 time, so he hired support and brought in logistics hires to improve fulfilment and allocate roles more effectively.

He also implemented financial tools, such as a break-even analysis and finance checklists, to ensure decisions were sound.

The scale of the results surprised Peter. Turnover grew by 362%, while headcount rose from five to seven.

Monty Miracle is now expanding into international markets and products are set to sell in Canada, as well as the USA. There are also plans to rebrand in order to help physical retailers stock Monty Miracle products.
