A º£½ÇÊÓƵ lighting specialist is heading to a big bowling expo in the States later this month to bolster its growing overseas reputation.

Leicestershire LED lighting firm Ventola Projects will be debuting new interactive kiosk technology as part of its plans to help transform the family entertainment centre (FEC) sector.

The business, founded by Mick Ventola, has already made waves across the globe with its VAvR technology, and boasts Midlands Engine Export Champion status from the º£½ÇÊÓƵ Government’s Department for International Trade.

Ventola specialises in electrical installations, LED lighting and shopfitting, fitting its lights in private and public bowling centres, hotels, homes, Las Vegas casinos and US Air Force bases, with overseas business now accounting for 70 per cent of its work.

The Ventola team will head to the International Bowl Expo from June 20-24, promoting a new POS, cashless payments system powered by Evogence.

Mick, who is in his 32 nd year in business, hopes his POS kiosk products – which allow you to order food and drinks and book other options from your bowling lane – will broaden his appeal in the diversifying FEC sector.

He said: “We’re really excited to be at the International Bowl Expo this June.

“What we’re seeing now is the next phase of the bowling industry being transformed into a wider entertainment experience. You already had this landscape somewhat pre-pandemic – bowling, food, arcades, laser tag in one place for example, but now it’s being accelerated at quite a pace.
