Convenience veteran adds to tourist-friendly Dales retail portfolio with Nisa

Former director Colin Graves has linked Grassington up with Pately Bridge under Dales Market branding

An award winning independent Nisa retailer is growing his business, investing in a second store located a few miles away from their existing successful forecourt.

Convenience veteran Colin Graves, a former Nisa director, has taken on new premises in Grassington, North Yorkshire.

Alongside manager Stacey Brookes, he has ambitious plans to develop the store into a thriving local business on a par with the well-established Dales Market Corner in Pateley Bridge.

Trading as The Dales Market Square, the former Spar/Budgens outlet in Grassington’s High Street is now trading with an improvement plan underway with the Scunthorpe-headquartered delivered wholesale specialist, part of the The Co-operative group.

The pair are looking to serve the local community as well as the thousands of tourists attracted to the area.

Stacey said: “We will be embarking on a development programme over the coming weeks and months and the new store will gradually change to improve the shopping experience as well as provide shoppers with more competitive prices.

“We will be offering our new customers a full range of Co-op own brand products, which have been really well received in our Pateley Bridge store.

“Over the next three months we will be extending the internal sales area of the shop, making it more spacious for shoppers, easier to navigate and a more comfortable space to use in the years ahead.
