Health cash plan provider Medicash says it wants to grow to have a million policyholders by 2030 – and has unveiled a strengthened leadership team to help with its ambitions.

The Liverpool-based not-for-profit enterprise has launched a growth strategy it says “will create jobs, boost investment, and strengthen its position as the Ƶ’s largest corporate health cash plan provider”. It also plans to double the financial contribution of the Foundation, which will now give at least £750,000 a year to good causes.

Andrew Healy MBE, CEO at Medicash, said: “These goals sit side by side. They reflect not only our ambitions for growth but also our heritage and values to proudly support health and wellbeing in the communities we serve.

“On the one hand, we’ll continue to drive innovation, accessibility, and wellbeing in workplace health provision so we can grow from 675,000 policyholders today to over one million. And on the other, we’ll go back to our 150-year-old roots by channelling more of what we generate into worthy causes, helping those who need support in areas like homelessness, mental health, and preventative care.”

Medicash has also revamped its leadership team. Andy Roberts, previously finance and IT director, has been appointed to the new role of chief operating officer, while Paul Marley becomes chief technology officer. Paul Gambon is taking on the expanded role of chief commercial officer, while Alex McAleavey has joined as chief risk officer from Aldermore Bank.

Dan Williams will join Medicash as head of change and transformation next month from Tunstall Global Healthcare where he is currently global group change director.

Daniel Dickson-Hope has been appointed chief people officer and will join Medicash from Cavalry Group on November 10.

Mr Healy added: “This is an incredibly exciting moment in Medicash’s development. By setting clear growth ambitions and strengthening how we operate, we’re building a future that will benefit not only our customers and colleagues, but also the communities we care deeply about.”
