Stockport law firm Gorvins Solicitors has promoted three of its legal team to senior positions within the firm.
Claire Beaumont, Nicola Fraser and Danielle Ayres have all been promoted to senior positions in the commercial property, family and employment teams.
Ms Beaumont, who joined Gorvins in 2015, has taken on the position of co-head of commercial property, while the firm has has promoted Ms Fraser to partner and head of family and matrimonial law.
Danielle Ayres has also been made partner in the employment team at Gorvins.

JLL has appointed a new head of residential advisory for its north west office.

James Lockwood joins JLL from Cushman & Wakefield, where he was based for more than six years, initially as associate director, before being promoted to partner in the residential valuation, development and agency department.
In his new role, he will oversee the team’s secured lending and valuation advisory services, residential consultancy, affordable housing, and retirement living offer.

Altrincham-headquartered property sales specialist Property Perspective has promoted three team members.

Alex May, who joined in 2018 as an account manager, has been promoted to the role of relationship manager, where he will be a key point of contact between Property Perspective and clients, both new and existing, and will promote to developers’ site-based staff the help available to them with their assisted sales and part-exchange schemes.
Jon Bryan has been promoted to valuation manager after being a senior valuer for six years.
He will manage a team of four other valuers while also continuing to value properties for Property Perspective’s developer clients and their customers across the North West.
Meanwhile, Karen Bury has been promoted to head of sales after she joined the firm in 2016 as an account manager, before becoming team leader.
In her new role, she will oversee the process of ensuring sales are progressed to exchange and completion more efficiently.

Baldwins
North West-based accountancy and business advisory firm Baldwins has made a number of promotions as part of its ‘Success for People' programme.
Stephen Kerrigan and Simon Read, who are both based at the firm's Rossendale office, have been promoted from manager to director.
In the Preston office, Val Hodgson and Gillian Cookson have both been promoted to manager, while Penny Motte, from the Stockport office, and Jason Evans, from the North West insolvency team based at the Manchester office, have also been promoted to managers.
Scott Lees from the Bolton office was also promoted to manager.

JMW Solicitors has appointed Mark Havenhand as a partner in its clinical negligence team.
Mr Havenhand was previously partner with Irwin Mitchell.
The firm said he was recruited to help the practice to service the increasing number of brain and spinal injury cases it attracts due to its specialist expertise and recent high-profile settlements.

A charity which has been supporting community groups and young people across Manchester for more than 20 years has appointed three new trustees to its board.
We Love MCR Charity, which was previously known as the Lord Mayor of Manchester’s Charity Appeal Trust when it launched in 1997, has recruited Michelle Rothwell, Kristina McGuirk and Sarah Horne to its board.
Ged Carter, We Love MCR’s charity development manager, said the trio of appointments will take the organisation to the "next level" of its growth story.
He said: “In the shadows of the towers and cranes of our thriving city, the potential of some of our young people remains unfulfilled.
“Over 40 per cent of Manchester’s children are still growing up in households that are in poverty and the resulting ‘opportunity gap’ is even greater than this income gap.

Independent travel company Travel Counsellors has appointed Kieran Hartwell as its first managing director for Travel Counsellors for Business.
He has more than a decade of corporate travel experience in senior positions, including recent roles as chief commercial officer for US-based Travel and Transport, and president at global travel management company Radius Travel.
In his new role, he will be tasked with shaping strategy to scale Travel Counsellors for Business over the next five years, identifying the right investments to support Travel Counsellors’ growing network of corporate travel specialists and clients, and acting as the global leader for the corporate travel arm.

Audit, tax, advisory and risk firm Crowe has expanded its national tax resolutions and investigations team with the appointment of dispute resolution specialist Grant Summers.
He joins Crowe from a top six accountancy firm to advise on dispute resolution work involving corporate, personal and employment taxes.

Panthera Biopartners
Independent site management organisation Panthera Biopartners has appointed Joanna Cox as its operations director.
She joins the Panthera team from Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust, where she was the senior research nurse responsible for the day-to-day management of the clinical research team across a wide portfolio of trials.
Panthera’s chief executive Stuart Young, said: “With her years of experience in running clinical trials, both within the NHS and commercially, Joanna is an outstanding addition to the very experienced Panthera team.

Global law firm Clyde & Co has appointed Melanie Mooney as a partner in its global insurance practice.
Melanie joins from Keoghs where she was credit hire strategy director, leading a 200-strong team in the defence of complex and high-value credit hire claims, and responsible for devising, implementing and maintaining credit hire strategies both internally and for insurers.
Melanie will form part of Clyde & Co's defendant motor team based in Manchester, which works on catastrophic injury and major bodily injury matters together with associated losses.

Manchester tech startup Caroo has hired four new starters and moved to a new, larger office space to help achieve its growth plans for the next 12 months.
Caroo has welcomed Molly Hampson, Abigail Hill, Sammy Ayoubi and Charlotte Emily – all joining its client services team, headed up by David Roddy.
In their roles, they will be responsible for handling inbound enquiries, while also maintaining and developing existing client relationships and supporting employers to fill their job vacancies via the Caroo platform.
