Fast-growing Bristol e-commerce company Huboo has announced it will create 130 more jobs at its warehouse in Avonmouth.

The firm, which provides online order fulfilment and storage for businesses, said the new positions will predominantly be filled by fulfilment centre operatives at its site in the South West logistics hub.

The expansion comes as Huboo experiences increased demand for its software-driven services, with the company saying that in recent months it has been onboarding an average of more than 100 customers a month, with its revenue up 730%.

Huboo announced the opening of its 5,200sq m Avonmouth premises in February, which when fully operational will create more than 300 jobs in the local area.

The newly announced recruitments will take Huboo's current total staffing numbers to 465 - an increase of more than 800% in two years.

Huboo launched in 2017 with two secure storage rooms at a Safestore in Bath, and has gone on to open four warehouses in and around Bristol, with it also operating sites in Emersons Green, South Gloucestershire.

Announcing the new Avonmouth jobs, the company said it would be commissioning a free-to-ride bus for staff in areas around Bristol and Newport, South Wales, to help reduce commuting costs.

Huboo’s co-founder and CEO, Martin Bysh said following the online retail boom, in part driven by the pandemic, “more and more” start-up and established e-commerce businesses were contacting Huboo to help them sell their products directly to consumers.
