Bristol e-commerce company Huboo Technologies has created 300 jobs with the opening of a new warehouse in Avonmouth.
The new 5,200 sq m premises has been acquired by the online order fulfilment and storage provider following a rapid period of growth, including its first 拢1m turnover month just before Christmas.
It鈥檚 the fourth warehouse the business has opened since its launch in 2017. Having started its operations with two secure storage rooms at a Safestore in Bath, it has gone on to open sites in Emersons Green in South Gloucestershire.
With the opening of the Avonmouth site, Huboo said it expected to triple its customer base and revenues over the next six months.
Having more than doubled its warehouse since its launch, it is already searching for a location for its next space, which it predicts could be 10,000sqm.
Jobs at the new site, which opens this month, will range from hub managers to data scientists and will be recruited from the local area.
Huboo co-founder Martin Bysh said the continuing trend towards online retail and the impact of lockdown restrictions throughout the pandemic had been a factor in the firm鈥檚 rise.
Mr Bysh said: 鈥淒espite it being a very difficult time for the 海角视频 retail industry, we are seeing lots of businesses ramp up their digital offerings in an attempt to combat the detrimental impact the pandemic has had on the high street.
Speaking about the expansion, he added: 鈥淥ur new site in Avonmouth is ideally located to our existing site in Emersons Green, meaning as we continue to scale, we can ensure that our customers still receive a seamless service.
