A Leeds manufacturer is set for growth after being snapped up by a Scottish engineering group.
Technical Control Systems (TCS) has been acquired in the undisclosed deal by Ross-shire Engineering (RSE), adding extra skills to the group.
TCS is one of the 海角视频鈥檚 largest independent designers and manufacturers of low voltage switchgear, motor control centres, relay protection panels and control panels. The firm鈥檚 acquisition also includes the continuation of its successful Joint Venture TAP (Total Automation & Power).
The TAP joint venture provides systems integration to customers such as Thames Water, Yorkshire Water and Southern Water - work which attracted RSE to the company.
The deal will see RSE take up a majority equity share in the business whilst retaining the key skills of the TCS and TAP team.
RSE managing director Allan Dallas said: 鈥淭he acquisition adds an additional 52 skilled resources and 3,400sqm of manufacturing capacity to our group, taking us over 1,000 employees in the 海角视频.
鈥淲e were attracted to TCS by their reputation in the English water market, the electrical supply industry and the service benefits we could bring our customers with a more integrated approach.
鈥淒emand for our innovative water treatment technologies has also promoted the need for additional manufacturing capacity and technical skills. The acquisition makes RSE one of the largest single providers of automation and control systems in the 海角视频 water industry.鈥
TCS managing director Jonathan Somers welcomed the acquisition as a boost for TCS鈥 growth ambitions.
He said: 鈥淭he business has been under family and management ownership for 52 years and has a strong track record in the 海角视频 water and other sectors.
鈥淲e are hopeful that as part of the RSE family we will create new opportunities for our staff and enhance our current offering to the market.
鈥淭he role of automation and technology will play an increasing role in the industry鈥檚 drive to reduce carbon, and we are excited to be joining a sector specialist like RSE who invest so deeply in R&D to achieve its success.鈥
