An ability to design and build quality renal dialysis units for kidney patients has helped Sandycroft Construction reach its 25-year milestone.
Since its formation in 1994, Sandycroft Construction has carved a reputation as one of the 海角视频鈥檚 leading experts in the construction of renal dialysis clinics for the treatment of patients with kidney disease.
The company 鈥 which moved to purpose-built headquarters in Stoke-on-Trent last year 鈥 also specialises in all aspects of general building and construction work.
But bosses at the firm say their 30-strong team鈥檚 expertise in the healthcare sector and their commitment to 鈥榙oing things right鈥 is the reason behind the company鈥檚 success.
Director Richard Whalley, who took over the company with Karl GreatRex in 2008, said: 鈥淲e started working in the healthcare sector and on renal dialysis units in about 1999 and today it makes up about 40 per cent of our business.
鈥淚t is a really rewarding job. You get to know some of the patients over time and it鈥檚 nice to know that in a small way we are actually helping to improve their lives.
鈥淎round 90 per cent of the patients who use our units are awaiting a transplant.鈥
Richard added: 鈥淭hat part of our business has been a massive help to us. It got us through the recession and without it we might not have been around today.
鈥淏ut having said that, we have never had to make anybody redundant and the last four years have been particularly good for us, without the renal dialysis side.鈥

In addition to its work in the healthcare sector, Sandycroft 鈥 which boasts a turnover of around 拢8 million 鈥 has also worked on a number of projects locally including the changing room block on the new Stargazing Pods site at Alton Towers.
Now the firm is working towards doubling its turnover and expanding nationally.
Richard said: 鈥淭he one thing we have got over our competitors is that we get it right. We are straight with clients from the beginning and we do what we say.
鈥淥ur longevity is down to the service we give, the quality of our workmanship and our terrific employees and supply chain partners.鈥
Karl, who has been a director of the company for more than 10 years and was the first employee at the firm, added: 鈥淲e are continually investing in the company, in terms of our staff, our training and our health and safety which is vitally important.
鈥淲e鈥檝e also invested heavily in plant and machinery recently in order to develop our groundworks division.
鈥淭he industry we operate in is very competitive. You have to continually assess the market to ensure you鈥檙e evolving, to grow, develop and be the best that you can be.
鈥淲e have a fantastic team with some tremendous talent and we are also very lucky to work with some terrific local sub-contractors and design consultants in North Staffordshire.
鈥淲e will continue to invest in the future, so here鈥檚 to the next 25 years.鈥
To mark the 25th anniversary, Sandycroft Construction staged a charity football match at the bet365 Stadium.
Staff managed to raise around 拢4,500 from the event, with the money being split between the Huntington Disease Association and Blue Cross Rehoming Centre for Horses in Rolleston.
