Started up in a shed just a decade ago Net World Sports is now a multi-million pound operation with over 100 members of staff.
Alex Lovén, founder and CEO of the Wrexham sports equipment business, said he was incredibly proud to have reached the 10 year milestone.
But he said that exciting times lie ahead as he plots to take the business to the next level with hopes of creating 400 additional jobs in the future.
Alex, who was 21 when he started out, said: “Ten years ago, I was working 24-hour days with my dad’s support packing customers’ orders from our shed – I’m not going to say it was easy, because it was anything other than that, but without great sacrifice there’s no great reward.
“It’s taken guts and determination but where we are now is a far cry from where we were then.
“This is testament to the team we have and the difference they have made - their contribution to Net World Sports is fantastic.
“As a company, we’re not ones to shy away and that’s the sheer beauty of being a young, enthusiastic, and positive enterprise.
“We want to drive the business forward and it’s the next generation who come in and are passionate and knowledgeable that underpins this - it’s growth and it’s the future.

Talking about the future he said: “Net World Sports has big plans for the next ten years and the team are currently in the midst of planning an office and warehouse redevelopment that could bring up to 400 new jobs to the region in the future.”
Key moments that have led to Net World Sports’ success to date:
2009: Believing in the potential of the business, Net World Sports became a limited company after Alex threw caution to the wind and spent his entire £13,000 savings on a container of sports nets. Momentum began to build and by June sales hit £85,000 for the month.
2010: Sales exceeded £1,000,000 for the first time. In November Alex moved the business from the family home to a 11,000ft 2 site in Kinnerley, Shropshire.
2011: Net World Sports employed their first ever member of the team, now Operations Manager and longest serving member of staff, Charlie Errington.
2013: FORZA Football Goals were born, changing the face of football forever.

2014: Moving on. With things really beginning to motor and sales hitting £6.5m, Net World Sports moved to their current home on Wrexham Industrial Estate which was five times the size of the previous site.
2016: After a new website launch in 2015, Net World Sports expanded to six new international websites in 2016 and another three big milestones were hit. They purchased the warehouse and office site they moved into in 2014 outright and broke the £2m barrier for monthly sales in the December.
2017: Net World Sports became the only company to be featured in three of the Sunday Times Fast Track League Tables.
2018: A busy year for Net World Sports that saw members of team fly off to China to meet suppliers and drive down to Birmingham for their first trade show. Team numbers hit 100 for the first time and national and international awards flooded in.
2019: Not six months in and Net World Sports is already off to a winning 2019. Plans are in place to showcase at international trade shows, six new international sites have been launched with another seven due to follow suit. March was a record growth month for Net World Sports since they rebranded in June 2017.
