New figures show that confidence is starting to return to the South West after more than 18-months of Covid-19 disruption.
Figures show that businesses are planning to create jobs despite some concern about their own prospects, the latest Business Barometer from Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking has revealed.
In the past month, we have reported on a number of big name firms creating jobs and here are a further employers who are on major recruitment drives across the region.
Charlie Bigham
The upmarket ready meals company has launched a recruitment drive for 35 positions at its base in Dulcote in Somerset.
The firm, which supplies the 海角视频’s major supermarkets, is looking to add to its food production staff and said it will continue to take on more staff as part of expansion plans.
The business, which currently employs around 600 people, has a bonus scheme and subsidised food and drink at the on-site café.
Cosmic 海角视频
The Devon-based digital skills training provider is recruiting for digital skills trainers in Devon, Bristol and Swindon.
The social enterprise works with organisations across the South West and wider 海角视频 to deliver digital skills, training, technical support and website development.

Hobbycraft

The arts and craft retailer Hobbycraft is opening a new store in Gloucestershire, creating 18 new jobs.
The company, which is headquartered in Christchurch in Dorset, will open its new outlet in Cirencester Retail Park in the Cotswolds town in the autumn.
The chain, which provides products for creative activities such as art, baking and model making, is expected to announce full opening plans for the new store in September.
It is currently in the process of recruiting staff for roles including full-time team leader positions and part-time retail assistants.
Huboo
Bristol e-commerce company Huboo is creating 130 more jobs at its mega warehouse in Avonmouth.
The firm, which provides online order fulfilment and storage for businesses, said the new positions will predominantly be filled by fulfilment centre operatives at its site in the South West logistics hub.
The expansion comes as Huboo experiences increased demand for its software-driven services, with the company saying that in recent months it has been onboarding an average of more than 100 customers a month, with its revenue up 730%.

Ministry of Defence
The Ministry of Defence (MoD) base in Bristol is on a recruitment drive for more than 50 engineers, programme and project managers, finance and consulting specialists.
The Defence Equipment and Support headquarters (DE&S) based in Filton Abbey Wood is one of the city's largest employers and plays a vital role in maintaining military operational capability.
Vacancies are advertised on the Government's jobs website.
Pendennis
The Falmouth-based superyacht refitting, restoration and custom build specialists is on across all trades at its Falmouth facility and is running a series of open recruitment events.
It has vacancies for Mechanical & Hydraulic fitters, Plumbers, Outfitters, Joiners, Fabricators, Electrical/Electronics Technicians and Draughtspeople as well as Project Managers, Engineers and Support staff.
