Merseyside-based Park Group, the gift voucher and prepaid gift card business, has relocated from its Birkenhead base to Liverpool in a move described as the largest office deal in the city this year.

The group, known for its Christmas hampers which customers could save for over a year, has seen more than 230 staff and 15 contractors leave its Valley Road home to 20 Chapel Street in the city centre where it will occupy 25,982 sq ft.

Park will maintain its roots and presence in Birkenhead with its distribution of gift cards and hamper operations remaining at the Valley Road site.

CEO Ian O’Doherty said the move is part of the group’s new strategic plan for the company.

“This relocation is a key step in the evolution of Park Group, and a time of great joy for us all," he said.

“As a business, we have an incredible platform and legacy on which to build, and we also have some innovative and exciting plans for the future, which we’ll be announcing soon.

“Over the last year in particular, we have significantly invested in resources that will allow us to grow and dominate the markets in which we play.

“Our move to Liverpool is one part of that strategy, providing our team of talented people the best possible workplace in which to flourish and help us create those ‘wow!’ moments for our customers.”
