A Manchester-headquartered web hosting firm is set to increase its customer base by 35,000 through its acquisition of a global cloud wholesaler company.

Miss Group, which offers services including web hosting, domain registration and VPS to SMEs, has snapped up Ilait.

Mattias Kaneteg, CEO and founder of Miss Group, said: 鈥淲e are very pleased to welcome Ilait to the Miss Group family.

鈥淲e have ambitious plans for growth and with 35,000 more customers, Ilait is a perfect match for Miss Group.

鈥淲e believe there鈥檚 still significant growth potential to expand into new markets.鈥

Ilait, founded in 2006 in response to increasing demand for cloud computing and hosting wholesale, has a yearly turnover of 30m SEK, with earning before tax reaching 10 million SEK.

Michael Abrahamsson, CEO and founder of Ilait, said: 鈥淚lait has in recent years experienced exceptional growth and is currently a preferred choice for IT consultancy firms, managed service provider as well as telcos and operators.

鈥淏eing part of Miss Group now enables Ilait to grow faster and raise the ambitions while maintaining a market-leading offering across the service portfolio.鈥

The acquisition comes after Miss Group was awarded a 拢14m follow-on investment from the British Growth Fund, announced last week, to support its international acquisition strategy.

It also follows Miss Group鈥檚 acquisitions of website building firms Hemsida24 and Heymo in August 2018 and FS Data in March 2019, which helped grow its reach across Scandinavia.
