A logistics group has been acquired by an Irish rival.
Redditch-based Avon Freight has been bought out in an undisclosed deal by Primeline, marking the County Meath firm's first º£½ÇÊÓÆµ acquisition.
Avon Freight is a warehousing and logistics operator which has been trading for more than 40 years, working with clients throughout the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ and Ireland.
It employs 120 staff across three sites, all of which are in the Worcestershire town.

Primeline is one of the largest independent providers of logistics and route-to-market services in Ireland, working with domestic and international retailers and other firms and employing 1,200 staff.
Avon's incumbent managing director Dawn Greene will continue to manage the business following the deal.

Evolve Corporate Finance in Birmingham acted for Avon Freight on the deal.
