Team UAV was created 12 years ago and is based in Bromsgrove, specialising in inspections, surveys, response and data capture services using drones.

The company supports a wide range of sectors, including government agencies, construction, national infrastructure and emergency services.

PDG said the buyout deal enhanced its capabilities in aerial surveying, inspections and imaging which would provide its client base with a broader range of services.

Chief executive Shaun Strain said: "We are thrilled to welcome Team UAV to PDG.

"Their expertise in unmanned aerial vehicle technology perfectly complements our existing services, allowing us to deliver even greater value to our customers with advanced aerial solutions."

Team UAV's managing director Lewis Pritchard added: "This is an exciting milestone.

"Joining forces with PDG means we can scale our operations, enhance our service offerings and continue pushing the boundaries of UAV technology."

PDG is backed by LDC, the private equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group which supported a £20 million management buyout of the firm in 2015.
