A Devon seaside town could be set to get another hotel if plans are approved.
It would be one of four hotel developments in what the Fragrance Group has described as a 拢100m investment in Torbay.
Currently, closed down nightclub The Lighthouse inhabits the space for redevelopment at the corner of Esplanade Road and Garfield Road overlooks Paignton Green near the pier.
The 117-bed hotel would be next to the Park Hotel which the Fragrance Group was given permission to redevelop with a new five-storey 161-bedroom hotel last year,
The new hotel would have a gym, bar and restaurant with terraced outdoor dining, 19 parking spaces and six of the rooms would be wheelchair-accessible.
The disused nightclub to be demolished was created from a series of Victorian terraced houses and is said to be outdated and not protected under planning law.

The 拢14m investment in the Park Hotel next door was approved in November.
Councillors were told it would create 100 jobs and attract an estimated 95,000 guests a year spending 拢2m.
A revised planning application has been submitted on behalf of the group to redevelop the Corbyn Head Hotel on Torquay seafront after the first was refused in June because councillors ruled it was too high and out of place.
The group's other site is the Palace Hotel at Babbacombe in Torquay, where a planning application has gone in for a 11-floor 248-bedroom hotel and 38 new houses on coastal land near Anstey鈥檚 Cove.
