Civil and structural engineering consultancy CWA has been appointed to a quartet of residential developments in Birmingham.

The practice is working with property investment and development company Seven Capital on and will deliver more than 700 new apartments.

The schemes comprise 315 homes at St George's Urban Village in the Jewellery Quarter, and three new apartment blocks - Landsdowne House at Five Ways Island, Granville Lofts off Broad Street and Ridley House near The Cube.

CWA has already worked on at One Hagley Road, Swan Kettleworks in Icknield Street and at the Waterfront in Brierley Hill.

Director Steve Wedge said: "Seven Capital is a prolific investor in the city centre with big plans to increase the housing stock in the heart of Birmingham.

"These are among the biggest city living projects being carried forward in the region and will create homes which are badly needed.

"Big infrastructure projects being carried out in the Midlands, along with the success of our indigenous companies, is creating a demand for new city centre homes."
