Property agency will work alongside CBRE to lease office space on the £1.2bn development in Birmingham city centre

Newmark has been appointed to work on the Paradise project in Birmingham

A property consultancy has been appointed to work on the £1.2 billion Paradise project in Birmingham.

Newmark has been hired as joint letting agency by the project's developers and investors Federated Hermes and MEPC.

Led by head of national offices Charlie Toogood, the Newmark team will work jointly with property consultancy CBRE.

Paradise is an office-led scheme in Chamberlain Square which has already welcomed three new buildings with a fourth office building and the Octagon apartment block due to open soon.

Tenants include law firms Knights and DLA Piper, accountancy groups PwC and Forvis Mazars and dining out venues such as Dishoom, Yorks and Albert's Schloss.

Mr Toogood said: "This is a hugely significant milestone instruction for our team.

"Paradise is an exemplar of today's modern workplace environment, attracting the very highest calibre of occupiers to the most sustainable contemporary workspace and delivering a comprehensive and compelling occupier experience to the growing business community.
