A 250-year lease for Stockport County Football Club to play at Edgeley Park stadium has been unanimously backed by local councillors.
The deal was first agreed in February and has now been officially signed off by Stockport Council.
The club have previously said the new lease would allow them to ensure that further investment can be made on the ground and its facilities.

Stockport County have said that since being bought by businessman Mark Stott in January 2020, more than £3m has been invested into infrastructure with improvements to the pitch, upgraded conference and events facilities, new seating, and training facilities.
Stockport Council will retain the freehold of the ground.
Jonathan Vaughan, Stockport County Football Club CEO said: "We’re delighted to agree terms with Stockport Council and local councillors securing the long-term lease of Edgeley Park.
"Over the last two years, significant investment has been made into the club’s infrastructure, re-engaging fans and shifting the club’s position in the table.

Councillor Elise Wilson added: "Agreeing the long-term lease for Edgeley Park with Stockport County is a big win for all parties.
"The club is in the hearts of minds of so many people across the borough, and this new lease is all about backing our club at the same time as backing our town.
"Stockport is currently in the middle of massive change that will transform our town for the better, and it is right that Stockport County is part of this journey.
