Big four financial services firm EY has announced plans to relocate its Birmingham office.

The company has signed a deal for 70,000 sq ft of office space across the top three floors of Three Chamberlain Square on the Paradise estate.

It is the first office letting to be agreed for the new building which is nearing the end of construction.

The move is scheduled for next year to coincide with the end of EY's current lease in One Colmore Square where it has been for 20 years.

EY employs more than 1,200 people in Birmingham, including 55 partners, and last year welcomed more than 50 graduates, school leavers and interns to its Birmingham office through its student recruitment programmes.

Three Chamberlain Square is a ten-storey, 189,000 sq ft grade A building and will be the fourth office block to open on the £1.2 billion Paradise complex when it completes this summer.

Simon O'Neill, EY's office managing partner in the Midlands, said: "With a growing business of over 1,200 people and partners based in Birmingham and strong levels of demand from our clients, the investment in a new office reflects our commitment to maintaining a prominent and lasting presence in the region.
