Financial services firm Talbot and Muir has doubled its footprint in Nottingham after taking on a new office in the city centre.

The specialist, which provides self-invested personal pension services and small self-administered scheme, has moved to a new 10,000 sq ft headquarters in Maid Marian Way.

The firm was set up in 1993 and today employs 60 people. The expansion has taken place following an increase in demand for its services.

Brian Talbot, a founding shareholder and director, said: "We are delighted to have moved into our new, modern offices in the heart of Nottingham city centre.

"We were previously based in several Georgian terrace houses, which, over the past 10 years, were knocked together as we started expanding. As a result of this, our employees were based in small offices that branched off from narrow passages.

“Our new space couldn’t be any more different – it’s contemporary, open-plan and provides us with double the amount of space, which will enable us to continue growing along with the SIPP and SSAS industry.

"As we’re seeing major growth in both areas and increasing our share of the market, we’re continually appointing staff in anticipation of more new business going forward. The new office will allow us to accommodate them.

“We have been working with Nelsons for years on pension scheme-related property acquisitions, so it was fantastic to work with its team on our office move and expansion plans.”
