Unity Trust Bank and Tyseley Energy Park among West Midlands recipients of a King's Awards for Enterprise 2024

There are 22 companies from this region which have won the prestigious awards for business excellence as the scheme celebrates its 58th year

An ethical bank, historic engineering firm and green energy leader are among West Midlands businesses which have been handed a King's Award for Enterprise.

Unity Trust Bank, Brandauer and Tyseley Energy Park are among a group of more than 20 companies from across the region which have won the coveted accolade (see list below).

Now in its 58th year, The King's Awards recognises business excellence across four categories - innovation, international trade, promoting opportunity and sustainable development - with recipients permitted to fly the King's Awards flag at their main office and use the emblem on marketing material for five years.

Across the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ, 252 businesses have received the honour this year. His Majesty's Lord Lieutenants will be presenting the awards to businesses locally throughout the year.

Unity Trust Bank

Among the recipients of a sustainable development award is Birmingham-based Unity Trust Bank which was founded by the trade union movement in 1984.

Based on the Brindleyplace estate, the bank uses its clients' deposits to support organisations to deliver positive social impact. These could include small businesses, housing associations, membership organisations, social enterprises and charities.
