Tickets now available for Hull Business Awards as event goes virtual

Event to follow success of Humber Renewables Awards with dedicated platform for networking and celebrating success

Host Louise Minchin is back, albeit virtually, for the 2020 awards.

Hull’s 21st annual business awards event will be the first held online as the coronavirus grip on gatherings continues.

And with the financial year end that is the focus almost upon us, the 2020 heroes will now be celebrated on a digital platform - with free tickets available now.

The calendar highlight had hoped to kick back in the spring after an autumn adjournment, but the lack of let up and third lockdown have meant it now follows the Humber Renewables Awards and goes virtual.

It means a dedicated digital treat is in store for those attending from the comfort of their own homes.

Just like this week’s great green bash in the Humber, the site will not only be the window to the as-live event, with 15 awards to be presented and television personality Louise Minchin guiding us through, there will be opportunities to video call or direct message others in attendance, chat with your table, and invite people in.

Hull Daily Mail and Hull Live publisher Neil Hodgkinson will also speak, with a focus likely to be the resilience and determination in the face of adversity picked up on by our judging panel.

Business editor David Laister said: “After a year when opportunity emerged from desperation, and pure survival was a measure of success, our winners can finally be unveiled.

“Hull and East Yorkshire is home to amazing tales of perseverance and top performance, and I can’t wait to see them crowned.”
