Have you got what it takes to join an East Midlands ‘Girls in Tech’ internship?

REVIEWS.io launching two-week placements to encourage more women into the tech sector

A company that helps online businesses collect and monitor customer reviews has launched a ‘Girls in Tech’ internship programme to encourage more women into the sector.

REVIEWS.io is launching the first two-week placement in June, based out of its Leicester headquarters. Successful candidates will get to experience all aspects of the business and its products and the work environment. They will also get the chance to spend time with the firm’s development team and the opportunity to work on a specific project with a dedicated mentor.

Sarah Goodwin, head of people at REVIEWS.io, said: “We are thrilled to launch the Girls in Tech programme and to encourage more women to pursue careers in the tech industry.

“We believe that diversity and inclusion is essential for a thriving and innovative company, and this programme is just one way we can contribute to building a more diverse workforce in tech.”

REVIEWS.io was launched in 2012 from the kitchen table of husband and wife team Callum McKeefery and Nicole Albano to provide a service to help growing e-commerce brands collect and publish genuine customer reviews.

It has evolved into a review, loyalty, survey and user-generated content provider which enables online merchants to use first-party data to influence purchase behaviour.

It has more than 8,000 customers including some of the º£½ÇÊÓƵ’s best known brands such as Twinings, Trespass, Skiddle, Dermalogica, Eurocarparts, Hastings Direct and Weird Fish.

It has a turnover of around £10 million and almost 70 staff at offices in the º£½ÇÊÓƵ, California, Berlin and Sydney, and is now strengthening its presence in the US.
