Kitchen giant Wren has launched two new graduate programmes in IT as it hunts for the next generation of talent.

Wren, which is headquartered in Barton with bases in Hull and Howden, unveiled its new IT Academy in August, and has followed up on that development by announcing the new positions.

The company plans to almost double its IT capacity in the next year, and the new graduate roles will play a key role in the expansion.

Craig Douglas, IT director at Wren, said: “We’ve been highly impressed with the influx of graduates that have joined our IT Academy so far as we continue to develop and strengthen their skills with real hands-on training.

“With few IT opportunities like this in the local area, we’re offering the rare opportunity to progress and develop in an industry-leading IT team where we will provide first-class training and development working on extensive live projects.

“We’re confident that the growth of our IT Academy will help drive the business forward and further strengthen our focus to continue to develop a world-class Wren digital world.”

Wren is now looking for Front End and iOS graduate developers to work on ground-breaking projects for its customers and near-5,000 employees.

The business said it was looking for graduates or school leavers with “a keen eye for design and detail,” to join a 12-week programme at Wren.
