Welsh telecommunications company Ogi has made its first venture into retail by partnering with one of Wales’ largest independent retail businesses. The indigenous broadband provider has partnered with retail chain and mobile phone retailer, Get Connected.
The new deal will see the retailer offer Ogi’s ultrafast full-fibre broadband and voice packages in its high street stores in Abergavenny, Chepstow, Haverfordwest and Monmouth for the very first time. Both companies said they expect to roll out further as Ogi’s plans progress.
Ogi entered the market in 2021, rolling out its full-fibre network to areas including Monmouthshire, Pembrokeshire and the Vale of Glamorgan - often before any of the major providers. It now provides its services, including a digital voice landline, in more than 60 communities across south Wales. The broadband provider is the largest challenger brand to Openreach in Wales.

Get Connected, headquartered in Abergavenny, has stores across Wales, the Midlands and the south West of England.
Ogi’s chief revenue officer Sally-Anne Skinner said: “We’re delighted to be working with Get Connected to bring Ogi to the high street. Working with local companies who share our mission to connect people to their communities is at the heart of everything we do.
“Adding to our portfolio of routes to market, including door-to-door, telesales and online, this new partnership is yet another option for our customers, and a welcome boost to the independent high streets across south Wales.”
Get Connected managing director Damian Cole said: “We can’t wait to bring Ogi to even more customers through this exciting new partnership.
