Version 1 awarded multimillion contract with Companies House

The deal is the biggest technology contract awarded by Companies House to date

Digital transformation company Version 1, which employs over 500 people in Belfast, has been awarded a £45 million contract with Companies House.

The deal, the biggest technology contract let to date by Companies House, will see as many as 70 of tech companies experts work to modernise systems and processes within the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ government agency. They will digitise services and automate where possible, or remove legacy systems, as well as delivering new systems to support legislation and improved customer interaction.

The contract with Version 1 will cover an initial four-year period, with work commencing immediately and an option to extend further.

Companies House identified a need to engage with an IT partner that was experienced in digitally transforming mission-critical Government services to help deliver its transformation programme and embarked upon a competitive procurement process .

The framework is designed to help public sector organisations buy, design, build, and deliver bespoke solutions to help digital transformation programmes. Version 1 was the successful organisation chosen from the evaluation process. The company has proven experience as a delivery partner to º£½ÇÊÓÆµ Government, having already delivered similar transformation programmes for His Majesty’s Revenue & Customs, the Ministry of Justice and Department for Transport.
