The public sector arm of Manchester tech firm º£½ÇÊÓƵFast’s is set to achieve 100 per cent growth for a second consecutive year.

The Manchester tech group said work with the police force provided major growth opportunities.

º£½ÇÊÓƵFast, which provides internet hosting services, said its public sector division is on track to make up 10 per cent of the firm’s overall revenue by 2020 with a growing client portfolio including the Cabinet Office, the Ministry of Defence and NHS trusts.

CEO Lawrence Jones said: “The public sector is under constant pressure to deliver services more efficiently and effectively, with ever-shrinking budgets.

"In most walks of life this is an impossibility, but with the application of the right technology it’s possible.

“More and more organisations are moving towards working in this way. It makes financial sense while easing the operational burden.”

The firm has recently struck deals with Thames Valley Police and Hampshire Constabulary.

º£½ÇÊÓƵFast’s services are replacing the requirement to manage hardware and software updates on premise for each of the 43 individual forces, it said.
