An eight-foot-tall robot which has performed alongside celebrities including Rihanna and Will.I.Am will appear at a major tech expo in Hull next month.

Titan the Robot, which has to date appeared in almost 50 countries around the world, has been added to the line-up for Tech Expo Humber.

Cutting-edge tech businesses from across the region will showcase their innovations and inventions at the expo, which is being held at Hull’s Bonus Arena on October 1 and 2.

Big-name speakers already announced for the expo include Steven Dickens, global sales leader at tech giant IBM, Twitter Europe’s vice president Bruce Daisley and Reach Plc’s chief digital officer Steve Rogers.

Antonio Tombanane, founder of Tech Expo Humber and managing director at GB IT Recruitment, said: “Titan is a real advancement in the field of robotics, and a great example of innovation and the use of tech that we’re championing at the expo.

“We’re delighted to confirm his appearance and look forward to seeing him in action.”

Titan was created by a team of highly skilled electronic engineers from technology driven entertainment company Cyberstein Robots Ltd – the only company in the world which engineers such technologically advanced robot exoskeletons purely for entertainment.

The robot has previously performed alongside A-list celebrities like Will Smith, Rihanna, Jackie Chan, and tech innovator Will.I.Am at events including New York Fashion Week and the Sochi Winter Olympics.
