Tesco Bank is creating new jobs in Newcastle as part of its drive to bolster its technology.
The bank is recruiting test, software and systems engineers, systems architects, solution designers, project managers, and IT and business analysts in both Newcastle and Edinburgh.
It is envisaged that 100 of the new roles will be based in Edinburgh and 20 in Newcastle. The Tyneside jobs are in addition to 20 roles created when Tesco Bank announced Newcastle as the home for its new “leading-edge technology hub” in November.

The new tech centre will be based at Quorum Business Park.

It is believed that the new tech hub will be based at the BBC’s existing Newcastle site - the ‘Pink Palace’ on Barrack Road - but the number of jobs the BBC hub will create is not clear.
