Teesside tech firm Mabo looks to create jobs with expanded offering

Middlesbrough firm is hoping to expand and add to its strength in pay-per-click advertising

A Teesside digital marketing specialist is aiming to create 10 new jobs after making two senior management changes.

Mabo, which has headquarters in the Albert North district of Middlesbrough as well as a site in Glasgow, is aiming to cement its reputation as a leader in the paid advertising industry and to develop other areas of its business.

The company - which is one of the leading Google Premier Partners in the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ as well as a Microsoft Channel Partner and Facebook Marketing Partner - works with more than 350 clients, predominantly in the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ.

Its main area of operation is pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, but it is also looking to diversify into other areas.

As part of that strategy, Stephen Cumberworth has been promoted to head of PPC while operations director Rob Jackson is overseeeing moves into social media and other areas.

Mr Jackson said: “The company has been expanding consistently for the past seven years.

“As our team has got bigger and bigger, we have added in more services for our clients including social media advertising and other product offerings.

“My role has evolved to help grow other elements of the business.
