Tech Week Humber is back for 2021.

The event, founded by Antonio Tombanane - the Hull entrepreneur recognised as a digital innovation champion - returns for a third year this November.

After a physical launch in 2019, Tech Week Humber was perfectly poised to go virtual like so many did in 2020 as the pandemic dominated.

In doing so it attracted almost 3,000 delegates, with word reaching more than 4.5 million people across 48 countries.

This year will see it become a hybrid with a physical and virtual aspect, bringing the best of both worlds together to a global audience.

Mr Tombanane, managing partner of tech consultancy and events organiser GBE Connect - and a recent addition to the Forbes Business Council - will launch the November celebration of the city region’s successes during Humber Business Week, on June 9.

He said: “We are delighted to be launching our event as part of Humber Business Week. We have some of the world’s largest tech companies coming to our region and looking to collaborate with our fantastic tech community."

He said the Humber region has seen an unprecedented amount of investment in tech recently, with smart environment specialist Connexin’s £80 million investment from Whitehelm Capital highlighted as taking Hull to the top spot of northern cities with most tech investment.
