A recruitment firm that specialises in helping tech companies fill executive-level vacancies has relocated its headquarters to Cheltenham to access the town’s emerging cyber cluster.

Innovex Global said it had made the move to Eagle Tower on Montpellier Drive to accommodate "unprecedented growth" it had experienced over the past year, as well as future expansion plans for its international executive search businesses.

The company has clients within fintech, cyber security and software as a service (SaaS), and handles the senior leadership hires for multinational anti-virus software firm Avast.

Innovex’s managing director Jake Parish said the firm, which also has a base in London, identified the Gloucestershire town, home to GCHQ, for its head office due to it being a “top cyber business growth area.”

Mr Parish explained: “When establishing Innovex, I noticed the main executive search businesses for cyber and fintech were in London.

“Secondly, Cheltenham didn’t have a retained search business that focused internationally or across commercial and corporate functions, specifically from C-Level down to minus two.”

Mr Parish said the move put the firm in reach of talent pools from universities and colleges in the South West, with Gloucestershire College recently opening a multi-million pound cyber and engineering training centre in Cheltenham.

“We are excited to offer graduates from neighbouring universities the opportunity to work for a fast growth business that supports rapidly expanding global brands, at a senior level," he said.
