A North East tech consultancy has announced plans to launch bases in Latin America and Edinburgh as it capitalises on demand for its services.

Newcastle based Test Driven Solutions (TDS) specialises in software development, testing and platform engineering and has seen strong growth since it was founded during lockdown in 2020 by Sam Clark.

The firm helps organisations to deliver projects in sectors including financial services, government, oil and gas, renewable energy, digital publishing, education, manufacturing, AI & robotics, and healthcare, and has expanded from a six-figure start-up in year one to an eight-figure business, now employing 160 people across offices in Newcastle, Poland and Canada.

Now the company is gearing up for its next phase of growth, making key appointments as well as announcing plans for further expansion, with a new office opening in Edinburgh early next year alongside plans to launch a base in Latin America.

David McAvelia has been appointed chief revenue officer, Andy Thompson is the new chief of staff, Adrian Pollard has been appointed financial director and Jack Reed is now head of technology .

The new leadership team brings a wealth of experience across technology, finance, operations and commercial growth, each focused on strengthening TDS’s position as a trusted partner for clients and a great place to work.

The company’s graduate scheme gives recruits hands-on experience across development, testing and DevOps before specialising in one area, creating a clear progression career pathway.

TDS also champions neurodiversity and individuality in the workplace, a value that’s especially close to founder and CEO Sam Clark, who was diagnosed with autism a few years ago and has made it his mission to ensure every employee can thrive in an open, supportive environment.
