Software developer fissara creates 10 new jobs after funding boost

A software company, which works with corporates to manage their mobile workforce, is creating 10 new jobs following a £500,000 investment boost.

Manchester-based fissara said it will use the funding from NPIF – Maven Equity Finance, part of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund, to invest in product development and expand its team, creating 10 new jobs at its base in Wythenshawe.

Fissara is a specialist in mobile workforce software for the waste, transport, property maintenance and engineering sectors.

The software helps organisations including O2, Motorola, Clarke Telecom, OM-3 and Peel Land and Property manage their mobile resources more effectively

Its digital dashboard aims to reduce admin time, simplify planning and provide users with a range of tools to be more efficient, cut costs and reduce their carbon footprint.

The company is led by CEO Jon Holttum who is an experienced telecoms and technology architect with a history of senior roles within HP, John Lewis, Siemens and a number of other global technology companies.

Chief commercial officer David Wybourne, an experienced business development professional building fast-growing businesses in the technology and construction sectors, has also invested an additional £90,000 to support fissara’s plans for growth.

The business is also supported by chairman David Harding who is the former CEO of William Hill with a highly successful executive career spanning various sectors, including automotive, telecommunications and financial services.
