SCC opens new security centre and completes acquisition

Birmingham tech services firm has strengthened its cyber division

Technology services firm SCC has opened a new security operations centre at its HQ in Birmingham.

SCC said it had made a multi-million-pound investment in establishing a dedicated cyber division over the past year, creating more than 30 new jobs across operations, AI, automation, technical architecture, product development and sales.

The new security centre at its head office near Tyseley provides a central base in the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ for that growing cyber operations team.

Cyber operations director Steve Harrison said: "Our customers rely on SCC's specialist cyber expertise to ensure they can focus on running their businesses safely, against a backdrop of sophisticated and ever-increasing cyber threats.

"The opening of our new centre is the latest milestone on our growth journey, with plans to keep adding services and people to the cyber team.

"This in turn will keep creating new opportunities for our customers to stay better protected from unprecedented challenges in cyber security."

In a separate announcement, SCC has acquired London-based business Resonate.
