One of Wales' leading IT firms has been acquired in a multi-million pound deal.

Circle, based in Cardiff, has been acquired by Arrow Business Communications, which has nine offices across the º£½ÇÊÓƵ.

The existing senior leadership team at Circle will remain in their current roles as part of the acquisition. As part of the deal Circle founder Roger Harry has also invested to become a major shareholder in the Arrow and will play a role in the strategy and the growth of the business moving forward.

Circle was founded in 2002 and has gone on to build a national customer base, with clients including º£½ÇÊÓƵTV, Harrison Clark Rickerbys and Cardiff University. Circle, which employs more than 100, has Microsoft tier one CSP partner status. Circle, which earlier this year acquired Macclesfield- Fabric IT, will continue to trade under its name for the foreseeable future.

Lincoln International and Harrison Clark Rickerby were lead advisors for Circle on the deal.

Mr Harry said: “I am delighted that Circle has joined Arrow and look forward to the opportunities that Circle will see as a result. Over the coming years I’m excited to continue to drive the growth of the business as a major shareholder in the Group. It is an exciting new chapter for us.”

David Jones, CEO of Circle, said: “Joining Arrow is a very exciting step in the growth and development of Circle. With the acquisition, we can work together to offer our customers a broader portfolio whilst delivering the same levels of exceptional service.”
