A Birmingham tech firm has acquired a Yorkshire rival, expanding its range of field services.

Marston Holdings, which provides technology-enabled products, has bought out Sheffield outfit Grosvenor Services Group which supplies debt collection services to utility companies.

Grosvenor will form part of Engage, which provides services such as capturing photographs and audio recordings and which conducts more than 50,000 visits to people and businesses every month across the º£½ÇÊÓƵ and Ireland.

It was previously part of Echo Managed Services and is a long-standing partner to the energy sector and helps clients to reduce debts and tackle the growing problem of energy theft.

The buyout of Grosvenor follows the acquisitions of Smartworks and Gasworks in 2019.

Mike Wolfenden, managing director of Engage, said: "The acquisition of Grosvenor Services Group brings significant experience, capability and valued resource, strengthening our service delivery and proposition.

"Quality of service is of the utmost importance and Grosvenor's long-standing history as a trusted, customer-focused business makes it a natural fit with Engage and the Marston Holdings group of businesses."
