Manchester tech firm once again selected for government G-Cloud 12 framework

Green Cloud Hosting, which offers cloud computing services to SMEs and public organisations, said its selection “highlights the firm’s position as a leading provider of IT services”

A Manchester tech firm has once again been selected for the government’s G-Cloud 12 framework.

The G-Cloud framework Digital Marketplace, operated by the Crown Commercial Service (CSS), aims to make it easier for public sector bodies to access cloud-based solutions, allowing suppliers to bid for new technologies and services without the need to enter the full tender process.

Green Cloud Hosting, which offers cloud computing services to SMEs and public organisations, said its selection “highlights the firm’s position as a leading provider of IT services”.

The NHS is among the firm’s clients, for which it provides an encrypted online data back-up service for more than 400 GP surgeries supported by NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit (SCW).

Kamran Maqbool, managing director and founder of the Whitefield-based web hosting firm, said: “We are proud to be part of the government’s G-Cloud framework which has opened the doors to firms like ours to provide services for the public sector.

“To be selected again as part of the programme is a great achievement for Green Cloud Hosting as we continue to provide businesses across the º£½ÇÊÓƵ with a full range of cloud computing services including business email, cloud servers, desktop access from anywhere, online back-up solutions and much more.”

The latest deal comes after a six-month trading period, which saw the firm’s revenue grow 30 per cent.

Kamran added: “This latest deal cements another strong year for the firm which has continued to grow despite the challenges brought on by the coronavirus pandemic.
