Hull communications giant KCom is to offer its cheapest ever broadband package as it gears up to widen the full-fibre network further across East Yorkshire.

Retail division managing director Sean Royce made the announcement after it was revealed earlier this week that Goole, Howden, Hornsea and Withernsea will be connected to the Lightstream service next.

It comes as it moves into territories where it will compete with other internet service providers, pushing the advantage of the infrastructure it says makes it the “envy of the rest of the º£½ÇÊÓƵ”.

The unlimited data package will be offered for £25 a month to new customers.

Unveiling it, Mr Royce said: “That’s the cheapest we’ve ever offered an unlimited fibre broadband package for.

“It’s a 30 mega bit per second speed package – which means you’ll be able to stream and surf and game and do everything your family likes to do. And because it’s unlimited you’ll never run out of data – and you’ll know exactly what you’ll be paying each month.

“We think this is the best value broadband service we’ve ever offered.”

He underlined the reliability of the award-winning network, adding “if you’ve ever experienced the ‘spinning circle of death’ while you’re waiting for something to buffer you’ll know how important reliability is.”
