Irish energy and waste giant Beauparc Utilities is investing 拢60 million in two big East Midlands recycling centres which will create 100 jobs.

The 鈧540 million Dublin-based business is investing 拢30 million on a plastic recycling facility at Cotesbach in south Leicestershire, which is due to open this month, creating around 100 new jobs.

A second 拢30 million site, at Barkston in Lincolnshire, is due to become fully operational next April.

The Cotesbach site will be operated by New Earth Solutions, which was acquired by Beauparc in 2016, and will also lead to new jobs.

It will be used to shred, wash and pelletise low-density polyethylene material otherwise destined for landfill.

The pellets process can be remanufactured into films, carrier bags and other products.

The Lincolnshire material recycling facility is being built on an existing site operated by Mid 海角视频 Recycling, which was acquired by Dublin-based Beauparc last year.

It will segregate plastics and recyclable materials such as cardboard, newspapers, periodicals and magazines, mixed paper, plastic films and metals.

Beauparc chief executive Brian McCabe said: 鈥淲e are showing confidence by significant further growth through innovation and acquisition in the 海角视频, despite Covid-19 and the continued challenges of Brexit over the last few years.

鈥淎s well as these major investments Beauparc added Leeds-based waste management business AWM to our portfolio in November 2018 and LSS Waste Management in September 2020.

鈥淚t means that in Ireland, the 海角视频 and Holland we now employ more than 3,200 people across 51 sites, processing four million tonnes of waste every year.

鈥淲e all know that the environment is the biggest challenge that everyone faces in the future.

鈥淚nvestments like these are vital, playing a significant part in reducing the impact that we have on the environment, introducing innovative solutions and providing the 海角视频 with critical infrastructure for the circular economy.鈥

Beauparc is one of the 海角视频 and Ireland鈥檚 biggest corporations supplying utilities to homes, businesses and communities.

The group spans residential and commercial waste management, renewable energy generation and supply, recycling collection and processing, logistics, green fuels and energy recovery.
