Hull transport firm ESP Group has 'best-ever' year as sales pass £100m

ESP Group provides smart card technology for Transport for London, and last year saw turnover rise by more than £10m

Hull transport and smart ticketing specialist ESP Group has celebrated its most successful year, as turnover passed £100m for the first time.

The business, which has offices in Hull and Arbroath in Scotland, finds tech-based solutions to improve public transport systems on rail, bus, taxi and cycle hire.

ESP Group provides smart card technology for Transport for London, and last year saw revenue rise by more than £10m.

In the year ending July 2019, turnover at ESP Group passed the £100m mark for the first time – rising from £91m to £104m.

Operating profits hit £4.4m – up 43 per cent on the 12 months previous.
