A fourth drone company will establish its new factory in Swindon today, cementing the town's position as a hub for this pioneering technology.
Tekever, one of Europe's top drone manufacturing enterprises, will host Defence Secretary John Healey MP for the official opening of its north Swindon premises.
The facility's location, which must remain confidential for security purposes, has stood vacant until this development.

The firm said the new establishment would be its most substantial º£½ÇÊÓÆµ operation, promising to deliver hundreds of employment opportunities to the area through its factory and offices.
The site will cover all aspects of the company's operations - from rapid prototyping of innovative concepts to developing fresh platform designs, with production encompassing the larger AR5 drone, manufactured in Britain for the first time, alongside increased output of its AR3 variant.
Ricardo Mendes, chief executive of the Portugal-headquartered firm, said: "We are proud to contribute to the economic development of Swindon, a town with a strong manufacturing heritage and capability for much more.
"Our new facility will not only increase our capacity to innovate and meet the rapidly evolving needs of our clientele, but also enable our business to operate more efficiently as we continue to scale our ambitions in line with our fervent commitment to transforming the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ's defence industry into a leading powerhouse on the global stage."
Tekever revealed that Swindon's strategic location between Bristol and London influenced its decision to relocate to the town, with assistance from Swindon North MP Will Stone in securing suitable premises.

Mr Stone expressed his delight, having played a role in attracting three other firms - Stark, Munin Dynamics and most recently Flyby - to establish operations in Swindon.

"This investment will create highly-skilled jobs, attract further innovation, and establish Swindon as a national leader in UAS manufacturing and testing.

Mr Healey is anticipated to officially launch the new facility this afternoon.
